The situation caused by the Covid-19 has affected the entire population, and I have felt the consequences in my bones, once again finding myself at the gates of the labor market, searching for new opportunities.
But if something has given us the pandemic, it has been time, time destined to get lost at home, something that should not be allowed. It is you who decides whether time is wasted or not, and not being able to leave home is not an excuse. During these days he was able to mark as finished some of those things that he had written down in an imaginary checklist, which he always had in my mind but had not yet found the moment to carry them out.
One of those was to give a new look to the web, training me in the bases of Html and CSS.
Once the website was finished, I decided to learn sewing, designing and sewing two bicycle-packaging bags and a backpack. I hope to make a post soon of the whole process.
And another one of those things that was pending was to animate an illustration.
A few years ago I was deeply interested in vector illustration with Adobe Illustrator. On one of those creative afternoons I made the following illustration.
At that time, I think it was 2018, animating the illustration already has come to my mind. But it has not been until now when I have decided to tinker with After Effects to see what it was capable of.
Besides being a designer, I am a cyclist, and I am currently part of the elite-sub23 team Servylimp CC Iberia. All the four-wall workouts we’ve been forced to do quickly got me to thinking about this illustration. I thought about updating and animating it.
Just when I had animated the pedaling, time slots were set up for the practice of individual sport. I already had a theme for the video, the return to outdoor training with responsibility.
This is the result of the final animation, which has been published on the club’s social networks with the aim of raising awareness among all cyclists and that the situation gradually improves.
